Jake and I really wanted to take Mackenzie to the beach last Sat. but since that tropical storm was coming, we thought we wouldn't be able to. God is so kind, and Thurs. Jake only had to work half a day and he got to come home early!! We packed up right after lunch and headed down to Ocean City for some time in the water, sand, and on the board walk! Mackenzie was a dream! She sat happily in her stroller for a long time on the beach, and then when she was ready to get down and play, she happily splashed in the waves and had fun in the sand! She did really good not eating the sand this time, until the end when she laid prostrate on her tummy and started licking the sand! Wish I had a picture of that one! I used my old camera, but it's starting to show it's age I think... I don't know why these pictures turned out pink, but I think it actually looks kind of cool!
After two hours on the beach, we were ready for the boardwalk. We parked at 1st street and walked to the end of the shops and back... stopping for soft pretzels, and then cheese fries, and finishing off our feast with gelato!! Needless to say I was MORE than showing on the way home! It was a great family day and we had so much fun together! Jake truly is my best friend... there is no one else I'd rather spend the day with!! (Plus he buys me food, and that's a really big hit right now!)
