Well... Mother's Day this year was so much fun! We had a blast after church enjoying steak, crab cakes, and shrimp bought and grilled by my dad and then we went to the park to play kick ball... which ended in drama, but was still alot of fun! Also during lunch everybody honored me and my mom for our "mommy qualities"... it was so encouraging... esp. hearing from my brothers things that they appreciate about me as a mom... my mom and sister are always so encouraging, but it's so nice to hear from 3 boys I really respect that they think I'm doing a great job too! And the best part was my dad getting all teary-eyed when he talked about me as a mom... it made me feel so treasured! What a blessed girl I am... going from the care of my father to the care of my husband... and being blessed with such a sweet baby! God truly hasn't treated me as my sins deserve!
Here are some pictures of the day: The first one is one Jake took of her in the morning... she looked so pretty in her dress... but can you tell from her eyes that she was a little sick? She had a fever and was congested... she didn't go to Sunday School, her daddy took good care of her while I helped teach the Dinos.

Here's all the family walking to the park...

The happy, HAPPY couple!

Another really, REALLY happy couple!

See that Hottie... he's all mine! He rocked at kickball!!

I love this little guy... he did a great job too!

My mom calls this her Winston Churchill pose...

Look at her!!! She looks like such a little queen watching our kickball game (behind the fence!)

So yea... I had a really great game (first one to get a home run, I must add!) and then when I was running to first at the bottom of the fourth I twisted my ankle really bad. I went down hard and heard a "crack, crack, crack"... it's still swollen and sore today, but not black and blue. I don't know what the deal's gonna be... but Jake really pampered me last night and I always like being pampered (pain or no pain, who doesn't like watching a chick flick and eating ice cream while their handsome husband serves them?)

A close up of my dad's nose... should I tell you how this happened?? Well... let's just say it involved a handful of grocery bags and a trunk door... and it was dark out... and he bled and bled and all he cared about was not getting it on the new carpet!! He's so cute... and brave... he said he'd rather bleed for hours than get stiches... brave or??? I love my dad so much!
